Engine 172

1995 KME custom engine
Hale 1500 GPM midship pump
5 airpack seats

Engine 172 was purchased new by the Wattsburg
Hose Company.  This truck responds on nearly every
call we receive.  In addition to being a front line engine,
it has a multi-gas detector for carbon monoxide alarms,
and has firefighting foam for use on vehicle fires and
hazardous materials responses.  It is also equipped
with basic first aid supplies, to be used as a First
Response truck for medical calls.  It is currently
equipped with our Rescue Tools as well, until a
replacement for 175 can be obtained.  Engine 172 is
stationed at Station 17 in Wattsburg.
Tanker 173

1990 International commercial cab
2200 gallons water
portable pump

Tanker 173 has been in service for a very long time, in
many re-incarnations.  The tank itself is originally from
a milk truck, and has put on several successively
newer chassis as the need has arisen.  The most
current iteration is based out of Station 18 in
Phillipsville, and responds on all Structure Fire calls.
Tanker 174

1974 F7000
2500 gallons water
Hale 1250 GPM midship pump

Tanker 174 began its life as a normal semi.  After
being purchased used by the Wattsburg Hose
Company, the truck was sent to 4Guys to be converted
to a tanker.  After a frame lengthening was performed,
and a pump and stainless steel tank were outfitted, the
truck you see today returned, and was placed into
service as the Tanker running from Station 17.  Like
173, this truck rolls on every Structure Fire call the
Wattsburg Hose Company receives.
Squad 176

1998 Ford F350
Body by American Emergency Vehicles

Squad 176 was purchased by the Hose Company after
previous use as a demonstration vehicle.  The truck
was placed into service in early 1999.  This ambulance
is based out of Station 17, and is the primary
responder for all calls.  This squad doesn't just roll for
ambulance calls, it responds on every type of call we
get, including fires, rescues, searches, and vehicle
accidents.
Pumper 177

1987 GMC commercial cab
Hale 1000 GPM midship pump
seats two, equipment for 4

Pumper 177 runs out of Station 18, and performs all of
the same tasks that Engine 172 does, including
response on vehicle accidents, carbon monoxide
alarms, fire alarms, as well as vehicle and structure
fires.
Squad 178

2008 C4500
body by Horton

Squad 178 was purchased in 2007 and delivered to
the department in 2008.  This is the most current
model to date.  The squad can seat 2 up front, 6 in the
back, 1 patient (or 2 patients and 3 seated).  The
controls are completely digital and includes a backup
camera with sound.  A picture is coming soon.

Old Engine 171

1948 Chevrolet

This truck is the first vehicle ever purchased new by
the Wattsburg Hose Company.  It was replaced by the
old Engine 172, an American LaFrance, then sold to
another department.  The buying department
eventually wanted to sell the truck, so the Wattsburg
Hose Company purchased the truck back, and had it
restored.  The gold paint is actually gold, and was
hand lettered by a member of the community.  This
truck is mostly used for parades, but could be placed
back in service with minimal work.
